Little things in life
I have been thinking in writing about the little things in life that make me smile. It is so important to remind us about them every day. It also goes with my goal of gratitude.
In thinking about this topic, I decided to gather some pictures of the things that every time I see them, they make me smile.
Here are some examples:
Glass ring holder: As I commented before, I live in Waltham now and the place is full of little shops. Next to Lizzy’s (my favorite ice cream place), there is a gift shop and the last time we went in with my mother in law we were looking around and I felt in love with this glass ring holder. I thought it was so pretty with the different colors and how the light reflected on it. Also, made by an artist in Maine. So I begged my husband to buy it for me but we were just back from the casino and he said ‘no -we spent enough money already’. My mother in law was buying some little things for herself and she bought it for me. I just love it. Now I use it to hold my wedding ring every night. I love it because it reminds me of how happy I am being married to my husband, even when some little problems arise once in a while.
Manicures and Pedicures: Yesterday I went for a pedicure and a manicure. It felt so good! I needed some pampering and I got it. I got my nails and toes colored in some different colors and I am super happy with them. My husband mentioned that I am getting very experimental these days.
Beading: I mentioned before how much I like beading. I guess that beading is like writing, photography and any other art. The only way to get better at it is working on it every day. I put together this bracelet yesterday, I like it but I think it is too heavy and has too many elements. I will try another version today.
Walking: Even though this activity was part of my get healthy resolution it has become a habit for me and now it is hard not to go out everyday. Last weekend I was really, really in a bad mood and on Sunday I asked my hubby to wake me up early and take me out for a walk. We did but it rained on us, here I am walking under the rain with Luci!

Oh, I agree! The little things can make a big difference, and it's important to enjoy and appreciate them. I like your list! It's so you, Alejandra. Your new ring holder is beautiful, and it's nice that you have something special from Walthum, your new town. That photo of you and Luci walking is great!! It's good to see you in your element. Loot at all that GREEN!!!! Wow. How wonderful that you've found walking as a way to feel better, take care of you, bond with Luci, and enjoy your new area. Also, I love the newest bracelet! You were talking about wanting to create some time and space for beading. It's good to see you've done that. You are so talented, my friend. Nice job! The colors are lovely, and I don't necessarily think it's too busy at all. I still wear the one you made for me. :) Well, thank you for sharing an update. It's good to see you and a bit of what you're up to. Sounds like all is well!
