Doer vs Achiever

I am back on track again. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday were difficult days for me. I think I was sick since I had 0 energy to do anything and didn’t feel like coming to the library to work on finding a new job.

But today was a new day, woke up, took the dog for a walk, by the way, I realized that even though I walked for one hour I just accomplished around 4,500 steps. We are supposed to walk 10,000 steps a day. So now I am thinking in adding an extra loop to the park and see how many steps I can add to my goal.

I did work yesterday in cleaning and organizing my closets. I actually took pictures of one of those nice bags that you can compress with the help of the vacuum. I am so impressed with the technology.

So, today I restarted my job search and revamped my LinkedIn profile. Then went into those job search pages and I had a resume critique for free. What a disappointment, in few words I have a ton of skills but they are not good if I cannot show them to the world. They said that I come across as a doer and not an achiever. What the heck, all the stuff and projects that I initiated are obviously not being showcased, I feel I have to go back to square one with the resume writing. I knew I needed to do some changes but today I feel I have to re-do the whole thing.

It is ok, it will help me to work harder on what I am good at and it will help me to focus on the jobs that will be good for me. Back to square one.

On another note, I am walking everyday and trying to watch what I eat but the last two nights I ate two cookies and ice cream, adding not needed calories to my body. I know so I will have to stop the dessert sessions at nights. Why the yummy things are so bad for us?

Well, tomorrow I will come back to work more on my resume. Yeah!

This is great. It's in keeping with your spring cleaning and organizing goal on your list of five things. You have managed to be a self motivator and have done a wonderful job keeping after your list of things to do. It can be difficult to motivate yourself when you have so much time on your hands and no one else to do it with, but you're doing great, Ale! You inspire me. That vacuum bag, space saver looks so cool!
